Welcome to Forest Therapy Walks in Oslo, Spring 2020!
Experience the art of forest therapy in the heart of the Oslovian woods. We wander slowly on soft paths and connect to nature’s own wisdom and wholeness. Spring is here and it is flowing in the rivers and sprouting on the forest floor.. Maybe nature has something to tell you?
Forest therapy has its roots in Japan (Shinrin-Yoku, 森林浴) and translates to taking in nature’s atmosphere. Through simple invitations you are encouraged to open your senses and let the forest fill you with life force and presence. Gathering in circle in between the invitations provices you with new mirrors for your own process. The forest bath closes with a tea-ceremony.
Where are we going?
Keep track of forest therapy walks around Oslo on Norwegian Sage, where they are announced as separate events. The walks are based in close proximity to public transport - from north to east, west and south of the city. Our walks this season will be held at Båntjern, Skådalen, Sognsvann, Gaustad, and Bygdøy.
We take special consideration with regards to Corona - stay at home if you experience symptoms. Keep a good physical distance and focus on your own inner dialogue with nature.
What do I need to bring?
- A curious mind
- Warm clothes
- A small backpack with more warm clothes and maybe a thermos with warm tea, nuts/fruits if you are hungry.
- Your own cup
- Something to sit on (we also have mats if you need to borrow one)
