“That gentle and amiable sage of the Himalayas had only one entrancing theme: love—for nature, love— for creatures, and love—for the Whole. The Himalayan sages taught me the gospel of nature. Then I started listening to the music coming from the blooming flowers, from the songs of the birds, and even from the smallest blade of grass and thorn of the bush. In everything lives the evidence of the beautiful. If one does not learn to listen to the music of nature and appreciate her beauty, then that which impels man to seek love at its fountain may be lost in the remotest antiquity.”
Dear friend,
Some months have passed since my last letter.. The summer months always enthrals me into an intense love affair with the Sun and the last place I want to be is wandering aimlessly through digital forests.
We have passed Lion’s Gate and a New Moon.. On the windowsill I am admiring this year’s harvest simmering in the rays of the morning sunbeams ~ contained in glass jars and bottles, pure magic waiting to be processed and transformed into healing remedies. The devis of Vestfold’s coastlines, kamis of Ula’s meadows and nature spirits of the Nordic forest realms are willingly coming to rest in dark containers, blended with aromas, essene light codes and crystal activations ~ eagerly waiting to bring you light and joy on your path..
When foraging in the wild, I am bursting with aliveness and dissolve into a conversation with the local ecology. Deeply rooted in my homeland, I commune with the plants and ask them for advice and teachings. The senses become bridges between the plant and human realm and allow my vision to open and my intuition to flow like the juicy, cristalline rivers of the Himalayas.. Dragonflies and bees are humming softly to the melodies of that organic summertime jazz ~ and I dance with the rhythm of the forests ‘harmony-aum’..
St. John’s Wart, Nettle, Calendula, Mugwort, Meadowsweet, Yarrow, Fireweed and friends come together to support our transition into the darker days of the year.. I whirl them all into my kundalini stream ~ bottle them and lock them safely in the wooden cabinet with the other captured essences.. My heart beats a little bit stronger knowing that sisters from near and far are opening the dialogue with the plant realm and bringing back the ancient ways.. The heat of these golden days is bound to bring forth shadows ~ and solace can be found in the continuous communion with our natural realm. Free from projections and karmic clutter, the plants bring the cleanest of messages from the waters of Source.. The remedies will take a couple of weeks to process ~ stay tuned to receive the full list of products.
If you are an empath and highly sensitive person (HSP) like me, you will probably feel the intensity of summer much stronger that ‘normal’ people. The Sun brings a power and will that can feel overwhelming at times, encouraging us to find our boundaries and keep the inner temperature balanced. Make sure to tune into your core/coeur several times a day and listen deeply to the needs of your soul.
Spend hours soaking in the Sun, contemplating it’s qualities and how they are also alive in you.. The Sun has the ability to purify our karmic knots, it’s all about directing your awareness into the unconscious parts of your body using your breath and stay with the tension until it dissolves. Feel the heat embrace your skin and surrender with your every breath. Notice what this can teach you about warm boundaries and allowing your energy to drop from the mind and into the body and heart.
Siestitas: Give yourself permission to rest in the shade in the middle of the day when the Sun is at its strongest. Bring your favourite blankets into the woods or sea shore coves let nature hold you in her embrace until you feel rejuvenated and ready to enter the world again!
Seek clean water sources and be aware of how the running water and negative ions can help cleanse your emotional body..
Eat light. Literally, eat light. Can you find your own way around this?
Explore your local flora to find edible plants that are blooming at the peak of summer’s presence to prepare your body for the colder days. Frozen redcurrants are my favourite remedies to counter winter depression, an instant reminder of the inevitable turning of the seasons!
And lastly, make use of the light and windy drafts to declutter and clean your spaces to easy the transition into fall..
Below you will find some articles that have inspired me this season, from Kami Mcbride on herbal oils to Asia Suler on Summertime Sadness, Akal Anand’s heart muscle meditations and self-love practices from Buddhist traditions..

”…and this gospel of nature speaks its parables from the glacial streams, the valleys laden with lilies, the forests covered with flowers, and the light of stars. This gospel reveals that emphatic knowledge through which one learns truth and beholds the good in all its majesty and glory. When one learns to hear the music of nature and appreciate her beauty, then his soul moves in harmony with its entire environment. His every movement and every sound will surely then find its due place in human society.”
